About Me

Born and raised in Karachi, 2006, 14 December. There’s a distance between me and the world, one I’ve never been able to close. For as long as I can remember, I've "lived" outside of life, as if watching from the outer-bounds, never quite touching, never quite belonging.

As a child, I was outspoken, too curious for my own good. I asked too many questions, said too many things I shouldn’t have. People paid attention to me, but I never felt seen. I struggled with social interactions, like there was a script everyone else had been given except me. A foreign language I could mimic but never fully understand.

Time passed, and I became more aware—of myself, of the distance between me and the world, of the quiet ways I had learned to survive. Although the seeming unreality of it all still lingers in my perception, I feel tangible sometimes. Real, even..
